CONTRACT SPECIALIST

BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
A. 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field; OR B. 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields:
accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitativemethods, or organization and management. Note:
Transcripts are required to show proof of meeting the above education requirement. Exception:
If you have occupied a position in the GS-1102 series since January 1, 2000, you meet the basic education requirements for that position. If you presently occupy a GS-1102 position at grades 7 through 12, you meet the basic requirements for other GS-1102 positions up to and including those classified at the GS-12 level. This includes positions at other agencies and promotions up through grade 12. However, you still must meet all specialized experience requirements when seeking another position Relocation expenses are authorized if you are a USCIS employee assigned to the Refugee, Asylum and International Operations program and have been approved for rotation from an overseas assignment. Relocation expenses for USCIS employees assigned to an OCONUS location will be considered on a case-by-case basis. GS-07:
You qualify at the GS-07 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-05 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Reviewing purchase requisitions for accurate information and any special instructions Researching and contacting venders to obtain pricing information and other special provisions Preparing request Evaluating proposals Making recommendations of award and repairing procurement documents. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
