Supervisory Law Enforcement Specialist

Supervise subordinates who provide critical law enforcement information to federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel and direct Law Enforcement Specialists in the performance of providing information which assists in the identification, apprehension, detainment and/or deportation of illegal aliens; Respond to and resolve technical and operational questions regarding operations supervised and directed; Provide technical guidance on the enforcement of DHS/ICE laws and corresponding criminal codes through investigational and comprehensive and tactical interdiction operations; Direct the coordination of efforts to apprehend suspected violators of law; Identify, locate, intercept, and participate in the prosecution of individuals involved in organized smuggling of narcotics, contraband, illegal aliens into the United States and ensure that necessary support is provided; and Provide support for extensive investigative surveillance operations utilizing manpower and resources of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. You qualify for the GS-12 if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level performing these duties:
Coordinating matters on enforcement strategies and issues of public safety; Analyzing collected data and using evaluation techniques to extrapolate, estimate and interpret the data for the purpose of responding to inquiries from the law enforcement community; and Preparing complete and comprehensive written reports and making recommendations for corrective action. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Current or Former Political Appointees:
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
