OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Relocation expenses are authorized if you are a USCIS employee assigned to the Refugee, Asylum and International Operations program and have been approved for rotation from an overseas assignment. Relocation expenses for USCIS employees assigned to an OCONUS location will be considered on a case-by-case basis. GS-09:
You qualify at the GS-09 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-07 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Serving as the POC for general program inquiries; Recommending program solutions, improvements, or changes; Assisting with the development of program training materials; Assisting the approval staff with reviewing the applications for accuracy and requirements; Developing reports, presentations, and charts; OR You may substitute a Master's degree or 2 full years of graduate education leading to such a degree in any field or a J.D. or L.L.B. degree for experience required at the GS-9 grade level. Such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise two years of graduate education. If that information is not available, use 36 semester or 54 quarter hours GS-11:
You qualify at the GS-11 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-09 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Reviewing applications for qualifications and issuing determinations; Creating and issuing program guidance agency wide; Working with leadership to ensure timely audits are completed; Assisting applicants with program and processing issues; Recommending and evaluating process improvement in program policy and/or regulation; OR You may substitute successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited college or university, for experience at the GS-11 grade level. Such education must demonstrate the skills needed to do the work. A course of study in business administration, public administration, or related fields is qualifying. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 54 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 3 years of full-time study requirement. GS-12:
In addition to the requirements at the lower grade level(s), you qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Serving as program advisor or subject matter expert (SME); Conducting briefings and preparing comprehensive reports to mangers and executives; Developing and providing training on an agency wide level; Creating statistical reports or models for presentation to senior leadership; Assessing program productivity to maximize efficiencies and efficacy. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
