Sr. Design Specialist is responsible for planning, developing and documenting conceptual and detailed product design information by creating complex CAD models, drawings, schematics, Engineering Change Notices or other technical data package items, working directly and communicating with mechanical/electrical design engineers or as assigned to an integrated project team. Skilled in the design of complex parts, assemblies, mechanisms and articulating devices, and structural design of equipment cabinets, containers, structures, fixtures and test stands; in both development and production environments, understanding of materials applications, hardware evaluation and verification through testing, and formal problem root cause analysis and corrective actions. Adept in the design and drafting practices to include dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5, MILSTDs, and internal practices.
Additional engineering scope includes determination of best technical approach and assessment of design concepts that satisfy requirements and constraints, design of experiments (DOE), performing initial finite element analysis, etc., assist in planning hardware development, writing test plans, coordinate and perform tests, write test reports, production support and root cause and corrective action activities. Expected to communicate with the project team including designers, design and manufacturing engineers, labs and suppliers, customers and functional management.
Associates Degree or equivalent in an applicable engineering discipline.
Demonstrated prior success working on teams.
One or more years of relevant experience in computer aided design (CAD) using Creo 2.0 and file management using PDMLink 10.0 or equivalent. Knowledge of Teamcenter ECN, MS Excel/Word.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
