As a Legal Billing Intake Specialist you will be responsible for processing/ verifying all incoming paper legal bills received via mail, fax email, or other media to ensure all pertinent processing information is available on the invoices, transactions, documents, or vendor bills for payment within specific state and company policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Review incoming paper legal invoices (Law Firms, vendors, court reporters) for compliance with billing requirements.
Indentify areas of non compliance and take action to resolve
Verify invoice accuracy and note claims instruction and any exception/special processing instructions
Prepare incoming paper legal invoices for data entry and payment. Prepare payment notification correspondence.
Review law firm invoices to ensure rates charged are in accordance with approved rates contained in corporate records. Work closely with internal customers to prepare documents required to update corporate records if information is incorrect.
Routinely contacts external providers and internal and external customers to gather necessary information in order to process invoices timely and accurately.
Good oral and written communication skills to effectively maintain customer service relations.
Ability to work with numbers.
Requires broad working knowledge of credit policies, accounts payable and department operations.
High school diploma or equivalent
General computer skills and working knowledge Microsoft Office suite
Strong organizational and time management skills.
