This is a Student Intern position in the Pathways Program. Selected individuals are placed in an excepted service position that integrates their academic studies with relevant federal work experience. At the successful completion of the Student Intern''s academic studies and program requirements, the agency may non-competitively convert the student to a term or permanent position in the competitive service. Conversion to a Federal competitive service position will be at the discretion of the agency and is neither guaranteed nor implied.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
