Liberty Mutual is looking for an CLBU Response Team Specialist. As a Response Team Specialist you handle a wide variety of inquiries, varying in complexity, received from internal and external customers, from receipt to resolution. Conducts in-depth research across a broad spectrum of company and department systems, follows up with internal and external contacts when necessary for additional information, and communicates resolution information. Reviews legal invoices in conjunction with Liberty Mutual Group Guidelines for Outside Counsel and processes payment of legal invoices in various systems. Reviews and responds to appeals in accordance with Liberty Mutual?s Guidelines for Outside Counsel.
Responsibilities:
Reviews and responds to customer service inquiries from internal or external sources. Efficiently and thoroughly researches, investigates and troubleshoots all inquiries to provide comprehensive responses. Meets established service level agreements in high-volume environment. Routinely contacts external providers and internal and external customers to gather necessary information in order to respond to inquiries. Posts/inputs information to Department and Company records.
Maintains current working knowledge of all processes and procedures of the department to address incoming inquiries. Fluent in all transactional and legal systems. Demonstrates clear, concise and professional communication with all internal and external CLBU Response Team customers. Effectively utilizes organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills to set priorities and manage time for maximum results
Accept, screen, and route telephone calls. Resolve routine and non-routine administrative problems and answer inquiries. Greet and direct visitors, as appropriate, concerning activities and operations of department/division.
Reviews appealed reductions of law firm fees, expenses and hourly rates. Regularly exercises initiative and independent judgment to determine the compensability of the appeal in conjunction with Liberty Mutual's Guidelines for Outside Counsel. Processes reimbursement of approved appeals in various transactional systems. Documents and communicates any instances of non-compliance and the actions taken.
Reviews legal invoices (law firms, vendors, court reporters) for payment. Verifies invoice accuracy including, researching potential duplicate payments, following claims directives/special processing instructions, and ensuring corporate records contain accurate payee/provider information. Processes payment of legal invoices in various transactional systems. Approves reviewed transactions for payment within limit of authority. Pends payments outside scope of authority to supervisor for approval. Completes payment transfers and may execute Stop Payment or Stop Print processing of released checks.
Acts as technical resource for internal and external customers/contacts. Educates internal and external customers/contacts by providing feedback, instructions and informational guides when necessary. Provides feedback to management on areas generating a high volume of inquiries/discrepancies to target additional feedback and training as needed.
Good oral and written communication skills to effectively maintain customer service relations. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
Requires broad working knowledge of accounts payable and department operations.
General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, with intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least 3-4 years of relevant CLBU bill review and payment processing experience for all markets and customer service experience preferred.
Relevant accounts payable or customer service experience preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
