The Production / Manufacturing Manager will report to the VP of Operations.
He/she will be responsible for the overall daily management and direction of manufacturing operations for our Vermont location.
This includes managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing efficiency in the production process.
Key
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and deadlines.
Coordinate with Planning & Engineering team to understand project requirements and production specifications.
Oversee the purchasing/allocation of resources, including labor, machinery, supplies and materials.
Monitor and manage raw inventory levels to ensure the availability of required materials.
Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures.
Work closely with employees to ensure the proper functioning of machinery and equipment.
Hire, supervise, and lead production staff.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Oversee staffing for 1st and 2nd shifts.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Comply with local, state, and federal laws, including forklift safety, lock-out tag-out, etc.
Collaborate with planning team to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor project timelines and adjust production schedules as necessary.
Monitor production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Optimize resource utilization to achieve production targets within budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.

years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Additional Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and priorities.
